It is mentioned everywhere, at every seminar concerning agriculture, in every paper . . . "the future of agricultrue depends on youth!". But what is actually being done especially locally? Not enough, but lately there are some initiatives which are worth supporting and investing in. One of them is the Malta Youth in Agriculture Foundation (MaYA). As Merill we contribute towards this foundation both financially and also by providing logistical support.

The MaYA Foundation does not represent only the farming community. Agriculture is much more than the production of food, which in itself already encompasses a huge range of industries, including hospitality, retail and R&D. For the Maltese islands, agriculture represents also a vastly important part of our green environment, and therefore this cause needs all the support that it can get.
